1. Prepare the steamer
Fill the steamer's water tank with tap water. Plug it in and wait for it to start to give off steam (you’ll see it coming out, this usually takes between 15 and 45 seconds, depending on the model).
2. Steam your clothes in an upright position
For the best results, hang your garment on a hanger. Hold the steamer close to the fabric to allow the steam to penetrate the item. Move the steamer slowly up and down, concentrating on the most creased areas. Tip: Slow movements are more effective than fast ones, especially for thicker fabrics.
3. Switch your steamer off and clean it after use
After each use, switch off and unplug the appliance. Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your steamer and optimise its performance. How to do this: allow the steamer to cool completely before storing, and empty the water tank to prevent limescale build-up.
